BACOA’s Meals with Wheels program provides a hot, nutritious meal to older adults who are unable to prepare meals for themselves either because of poor health or low income. Participants can also receive meals on a short-term basis after a hospitalization or rehab stay.
Thanks to a generous grant by the Barrington Area United Way, BACOA is able to serve some 4,000 meals annually. Other kind donations from local churches also help provide program enhancements for participants. Those program enhancements include special holiday meals and Panera Bread days. Deliveries are made by local organizations and volunteers.
